Responsibilities

Develop features for open source Iceberg client libraries

Update use of such client libraries within Google

Design or influence features in the OSS community which are of interest to BigQuery

Work with BigQuery teams to help align design or feature semantics of BigQuery features which overlap with Iceberg/Parquet/Polaris

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

8 years of experience participating in technical/developer communities, open source projects, or other developer community groups, and as an open source contributor

Experience with distributed computing, big data analytics, cloud computing, multi-tenant cloud, or AI

Preferred

Experience with Data Analytics ecosystem (e.g., Iceberg, Spark, Flink, Pandas, Arrow)

Experience using Java or Python in data analytics
