Responsibilities
Create and maintain comprehensive security policies, standards, and procedures to protect information systems
Perform regular risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities within the organization’s information systems
Oversee the detection, reporting, and response to security incidents, including data breaches and cyber-attacks
Ensure that the organization complies with relevant laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST)
Develop and conduct security awareness training programs for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization
Lead and manage security-related projects, including the implementation of new security technologies and systems
Conduct regular security audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of security measures and identify areas for improvement
Collaborate with various stakeholders, including IT staff, management, and external vendors, to ensure a unified approach to security
Keep accurate and up-to-date documentation of security policies, procedures, incident reports, and compliance records
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in information security
Professional certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or equivalent
