GPM Investments, LLC is seeking a Sr. Tax Accountant to join their team, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining compliance and financial strength. The role involves managing state and local tax filings, supporting audits, and contributing to tax strategy in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review and file monthly, quarterly and annual tax filings in compliance with multiple regulatory agencies
Analyze state and local tax laws, advise on new product/service taxability, and support effective tax strategies
Assist with audit requests, gather documentation, and coordination
Research and communicate issues to store accounting, fuel accounting and help desk to ensure accurate collection and accounting for tax accruals and related ledger activity
Responsible for general ledger entries and reconciliations of assigned tax liabilities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and practices
Communicate frequently with management team, field operations, Regulatory Agencies, vendors, suppliers and other necessary outside organizations in respect to assigned areas
Conform and adhere to internal controls over tax accounting procedures as set forth by upper management
Interfaces frequently with various levels within the organization

Required

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Advanced Excel skills (i.e. v-lookups, sumifs, pivot tables)
Ability to multi-task and complete projects within specific deadlines
Strong computer, presentation and organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail oriented with excellent time management skills
