Instructional Designer & Trainer

As the Instructional Designer & Trainer, you'll be responsible for creating and delivering educational materials for employee onboarding and career development, fostering a collaborative learning environment to help employees meet their developmental goals.

Responsibilities
Develop and update curriculum, coursework, and instructional materials in tandem with the adult learning theory for delivery of both online and in-person organizational trainings
Use core instructional principles and theories to maximize Derse training programs
Design engaging and interactive training to address various learning styles, using computer-based modules such as PowerPoint, storyboards, and new technologies for facilitation
Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure quality of course development tools, compliance, and accessibility
Monitor the maintenance, management, auditing, and updating of program processes and training materials
In concert with the Training Manager and Human Resources department, carry out on-boarding training programs
Host all Global Training sessions on a weekly basis or as follows with the process of onboarding
Meet with new hires during a 2-week or 4-week check-in and identify areas of need
Manage the completion of various training sessions and schedule employees for any missed sessions
Partner with managers to conduct all new hires’ job specific training using Derse based curriculum
Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) for tracking completion and conducting necessary follow-up
Assist in developing the annual training plan with the Training Manager and execute as follows
Lead conversations regarding appropriate system-related documentation in tandem with IT departments, to ensure proper set up
Provide continuous updates and suggestions to enhance training checklists and process evolution
Uphold compliance based tasks with dedicated care and sensitivity
Other duties as assigned by Human Resources or Training Manager
Qualification
Required
Associate / Bachelors degree in Education, Instructional Design, or closely related field
1 to 3+ years of relevant experience in designing and facilitating organizational trainings required
Advanced skillset within Microsoft Office applications required
Preferred
Learning Management Software experience preferred
Prior experience working within a compliance based role preferred
Experience in strong communication, technical, and organizational skills beneficial
