Responsibilities

Conduct site visits and assessments of existing facilities

In partnership with Project Manager, conduct meetings with clients to understand their project needs and preferences

Develop design concepts and proposals, creating detailed drawings and specifications

Collaborate with engineering and other consultants as needed based on breadth of project scope

Present designs to clients and stakeholders for feedback and approval

Lead design team through consistent and appropriate documentation of design intent for ease of communication with Owner and Contractor

Explore design concepts utilizing emerging technologies

Attend Owner Architect and Contract meetings on site

Observe construction and provide direction to follow design intent and institution construction standards
