The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is inviting applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Construction Engineering Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a research program, mentoring students, teaching courses, and participating in departmental service.

Responsibilities

Develop a vigorous and sustainable funded research program in their area of expertise
Mentor to graduate undergraduate and graduate students
Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in their expertise area related to construction engineering and management
Participate in service to the Department, College, University, and profession

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architectural engineering, construction engineering management, or other relevant engineering (e.g., computer engineering or science)
Ph.D. degree in civil engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
If the applicant does not have an undergraduate degree in engineering, then PhD in Civil Engineering with Construction emphasis is required
Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date

Preferred

Expertise in one or more of the following areas: automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies in construction
Demonstrated commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service
Ability to contribute to the continued growth and reputation of the Civil and Environmental Engineering and Construction Department
Foster collaboration, innovation, and impact within the department and the broader engineering community
Applicants who hold a Professional Engineering (PE) (or similar Construction related) license(s) or who can obtain one within a reasonable period after appointment
Strong background in interdisciplinary research
