Venue Operations Crew

Responsibilities

Setup and tear-down tents, tables, chairs, staging, protective flooring, lobby furniture and other equipment for events
Load/unload trucks, van, carts and the like as needed. Transport materials to and from various campus event spaces
Maintain clean event spaces, service corridors and storage areas
Maintain an organized and clean inventory of supplies and equipment
Follow safety guidelines and procedures for handling equipment
Ensure all setups comply with safety regulations and floor plans
Coordinate with event managers, venue staff and other crew members to ensure smooth execution of events and daily operations of the Office of Strategic Venues and Event Services

Required

Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to respond to high-pressure situations
Ability to thrive in an environment of hard work
Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Ability to present information to individuals or groups, exhibiting strong communication skills
Interprets and seeks information, using independent reasoning to address and solve issues
Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
High school diploma or GED required
Entry level labor position, no prior experience required
