InternSipcam Agro USA is headquartered in Durham, North Carolina, and is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance and Accounting Intern to support their Finance and Accounting team. The intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and general finance functions within the agricultural industry.

Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks such as data entry, invoice processing, and maintaining accurate financial records
Help prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries for internal and external stakeholders
Support the preparation and analysis of budget forecasts and financial planning
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments
Help with reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, and intercompany transactions
Assist in the preparation of tax filings, including sales tax and other regulatory compliance tasks
Analyze financial data and create reports for management, helping identify trends and opportunities
Support the preparation of audit materials and assist with audit processes
Provide general administrative support to the finance team, such as organizing documentation and assisting with project coordination
Collaborate with team members on various ad hoc projects to improve financial processes and reporting systems
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial analysis
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with large sets of data
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion and professionalism
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn about finance and accounting operations in a corporate environment
Preferred
Previous experience or coursework in accounting or finance is a plus but not required
