Temporary Corporate Controller
LURIN is seeking a Temporary Corporate Controller to oversee all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning. The role requires a detail-oriented professional to manage the accounting department, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide insights for financial performance.

Responsibilities
Oversee the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements and reports
Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for executive management and stakeholders
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable accounting principles and standards
Lead external audits including the preparation of financial reporting
Interpret complex financial transactions, including acquisitions, investments, divestitures, restructuring activities, etc
Conduct financial analysis to assess the financial health and performance of the company, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
Provide insights and recommendations to executive management on key financial and operational issues
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic financial initiatives to drive growth and profitability
Leads annual financial audits
Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic and achievable budgets
Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement
Prepare financial forecasts and projections to support strategic decision-making and business planning
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team members are equipped to excel in their roles and achieve departmental goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute financial strategies to achieve business objectives
Strong understanding of broader operations, how business units work together and how their work contributes to the success of the organization
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and develop actionable insights and recommendations
Proven ability to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and develop creative solutions to drive financial performance
Preferred
Master's degree or CPA designation
Experience in real estate or property management industry
