Responsibilities
Directly maintain all kitchen equipment and areas; keeping the spaces clean, organized, and compliant with health codes
Manage the end-to-end process for Sysco orders, including inventory tracking, receiving and unloading deliveries, and strictly adhering to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) stock rotation
Provide essential support for photoshoots and culinary demos by assisting with station setup, carefully moving inventory, and executing post-production dishwashing duties
Perform crucial prep tasks such as slicing and dicing, ensuring ingredients are ready for chefs without involvement in high-level recipe development or complex cooking
Utilize your understanding of various commercial appliances to assist with general maintenance and report any issues promptly to maintain operational efficiency
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 6 months of exposure to a commercial kitchen or grocery environment
Demonstrated ability to perform deep cleaning
Capable of regular physical activity, including safely lifting up to 40 lbs
Prepared to obtain a food handlers card upon hire (reimbursement will be provided)
Familiar with or demonstrate a quick aptitude for food safety best practices
Understanding of inventory management (especially FIFO)
General kitchen equipment operation skills
