They are seeking a Medical Director for Advanced Heart Failure to lead clinical practice and administrative initiatives, focusing on improving heart failure outcomes and developing a comprehensive heart failure program.

Responsibilities
Lead the organization in heart failure outcomes initiatives
Contribute to the continued growth and development of the heart failure program
Establish a destination left ventricular assist device (LVAD) center at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center
Provide outreach and clinical support at six surrounding hospitals and 11 ambulatory sites within the Charlotte area
Manage the entire spectrum of heart failure
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an accredited school of medicine required
Completion of an accredited residency program required
For specialty physicians - completion of an accredited fellowship program specific to medical specialty
Current MD license in appropriate state
Board certification or eligibility
Current DEA license required
clinical consultative cardiology
proficiency in the management of the entire spectrum of heart failure
Preferred
Fellowship training in heart failure including mechanical circulatory support and recent exposure to contemporary management of the heart failure patient through all care transitions is preferred
