The CTO & Co-Founder will be responsible for the technical vision and leadership of the engineering team, developing AI systems for diagnostics and predictive analytics, and ensuring secure integrations with industrial systems.

Responsibilities
Own the technical vision and architecture of the OpenExpert.AI Digital SME platform
Build and lead a world-class engineering team across AI/ML, data, and full-stack
Develop multi-modal AI systems for diagnostics, reasoning, and predictive analytics
Drive rapid product development from prototype to customer pilots
Ensure secure and scalable integrations with industrial systems (SCADA/OT, OEM platforms, enterprise tools)
Establish engineering culture, best practices, and long-term technical roadmap
Partner with CEO on strategy, fundraising, customer engagements, and go-to-market
Operate as a true co-founder with ownership over technical outcomes
Qualification
Required
10+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in senior roles (CTO, VP Eng, Head of AI)
Proven ability to build and scale engineering teams and ship complex products from concept to production
Deep experience with LLMs, multi-modal models (time-series, sensor, imagery, text), explainable AI, knowledge graphs, and real-time predictive analytics
Track record building enterprise-grade AI systems and integrating them into complex or mission-critical environments
Strong foundation in distributed systems, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Experience with industrial IoT, SCADA/OT systems, or critical infrastructure is a strong plus
MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience
Preferred
Energy sector familiarity—generation, T&D, renewables, or industrial operations
Understanding of O&M workflows, asset performance, or predictive maintenance
Exposure to regulatory frameworks (NERC, ISO, EPA) or industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, DNP3)
Publications in AI/ML or industrial systems are a plus
