Responsibilities

Technical Leadership: Oversee and guide the development of secure, high-performance software systems across the entire SDLC—from architecture and implementation to deployment and sustainment

System Architecture: Design modular, scalable, and mission-resilient systems using modern frameworks, cloud-native architectures, and secure development practices

Secure Development: Ensure systems are compliant with IC standards for cybersecurity, including RMF, ICD 503, and Zero Trust principles

Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with analysts, mission users, data scientists, and systems engineers to translate intelligence requirements into operational capabilities

Classified Environments: Develop and support applications within classified environments, working with containerization, virtualization, or air-gapped networks as needed. Needs to work individually as well as collaborate with the rest of the team as needed

Code Quality & DevSecOps: Promote software quality through peer reviews, CI/CD automation, test coverage, and infrastructure-as-code practices

Mentorship: Provide technical mentorship and direction to junior engineers, and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and mission alignment

Incident Response: Lead the resolution of mission-impacting bugs or vulnerabilities under strict availability and security constraints

Top Secret clearance level must currently possess

Top Secret/SCI clearance level must be able to obtain

8+ years of related experience

US Citizenship required

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Expertise in languages such as Python, Java, C#, or Go

Experience with modern architectures (e.g., microservices, event-driven systems)

Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, C2S)

Strong grasp of cybersecurity fundamentals and secure coding practices

Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments

Experience supporting U.S. Intelligence Community or Department of Defense missions

Working knowledge of data ingestion, integration, search processing

Familiarity with tools such as Kafka, Elasticsearch, NiFi, or cloud-native services

Understanding of Zero Trust architectures, cross-domain solutions (CDS), and IC policy requirements (e.g., ICD 705, NIST SP 800-53)

Experience integrating with geospatial, biometric, or analytic platforms used across the IC

Exposure to AI methodologies
