Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a supplier engagement plan, with an on-site supplier focus
Perform on-site capacity analysis, identify process bottlenecks, validate against current and future demand
Drive continuous improvement with supplier to meet delivery and quality requirements
Data based decision making and solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions
Support and foster supplier partnerships
Communicate and collaborate effectively with all stakeholders, both internal and external
Leads and evolves supplier assessment to drive operational excellence with other functional experts, review supplier production technology and improvement roadmaps
Identify and initiate cost reduction opportunities, support contract negotiation projects
Ensure assigned supply base meets material delivery objectives
Set and reinforce expectation of suppliers to adjust and perform to delivery schedule
Prioritize and escalate Critical Shortage resolution actions
Manage supplier transitions to ensure uninterrupted material availability
Provides status reports to management, stakeholders, and internal customers
Identifies and resolves potential complications within the project and develops solutions for resolution

Required

Bachelor's Degree (Systems/Mechanical/Production Engineering, Technical or Supply Chain coursework preferred)
Experience in Semiconductor Equipment building with Primary (Machining, Sheetmetal, Welding, Cable Harness etc.) and Secondary (Coating, Painting, Anodizing, Leak testing etc.) fabrication process knowledge
Experience in process quality standards ISO, FMEA, 8D, 5-Why etc
Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain with emphasis in supplier capacity and quality, process walks, capacity analysis, Inventory management and demonstrated strong technical aptitude preferred
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc.)
Experience with product builds for MBU and ability to quickly learn IBU and LBU products as needed
Hands-on/tactical, self-starter
Ability to travel domestic and internationally up to 50%+ (about half involve overnight stays)
