The Underwriter/Broker will be responsible for driving revenue growth by connecting Retail Agents with national markets and delivering exceptional underwriting solutions through strong carrier relationships.

Responsibilities

Grow Your Book: Prospect and develop new business through networking and relationship-building with Retail Agents
Be the Expert: Develop deep knowledge of high-risk wholesale insurance solutions across product lines, industries, and risk types
Deliver Results: Analyze submissions, negotiate competitive pricing, and secure coverage for complex risks
Lead & Influence: Educate partners on RPS’s full range of solutions and, when assigned, mentor and guide support teams
Stay Ahead: Monitor market trends and carrier guidelines to ensure profitable growth
Travel as needed: Engage with clients as needed

Qualification

Wholesale insurance experienceBusiness development skillsRelationship managementP&C licenseMicrosoft Office proficiencyAnalytical abilityAttention to detailCommunication skillsGoal-driven mindset

Required

Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related experience
Home state P&C license (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Proven business development and relationship management skills
Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and excellent communication
A proactive, goal-driven mindset with urgency to achieve production targets
Ability to leverage data and tools to craft comprehensive insurance solutions

Preferred

Sales experience in wholesale insurance or related field preferred
