Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day functioning of the school’s technology infrastructure, including networks, servers, Wi-Fi, classroom technology, and administrative systems

Provide timely, high-quality technical support to faculty, staff, and students

Manage device deployment and maintenance (laptops, tablets, projectors, interactive displays, printers, etc.)

Ensure smooth operation of learning management systems (LMS), student information systems (SIS), and other school software

Maintain secure and efficient network, firewall, and wireless infrastructure

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls

Oversee system updates, backups, and data recovery processes

Implement cybersecurity best practices and respond to security incidents

Collaborate with school leadership to develop and implement a long-term technology plan

Evaluate new technologies to support innovative teaching and operational efficiency

Manage technology-related vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreements

Plan and oversee technology budgets and purchasing

Provide training, workshops, and resources to help faculty effectively integrate educational technology

Communicate clearly and proactively with administrators, teachers, and staff

Support technology use during school events, testing, and assemblies

Maintain compliance with privacy laws and regulations (GDPR, PCI, etc.)

Develop and update technology policies, acceptable use guidelines, and cybersecurity protocols

Ensure consistent data protection and secure handling of student information
