The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is seeking an Admissions Counselor/Evaluator to join their Enrollment Management team. This role involves evaluating applications for admission, managing auditing reports, and providing counseling to applicants about the admissions process. The position plays a key part in enhancing student enrollment and promoting equitable student success through various administrative and counseling responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Evaluating applications for admission
Managing auditing reports to help expedite admissions decisions
Troubleshooting issues related to application processing
Attending recruitment events as needed
Reviewing and evaluating application materials and transcripts
Entering data into the CRM (Salesforce) and student information system (PeopleSoft)
Working with the Degree Audit Team to ensure rapid and accurate transfer equivalency decisions
Communicating with Admission Counselor/Recruiters, Registrar staff, academic advisors, and applicants via email and phone
Serving as an Admissions liaison for various advising centers
Meeting with and speaking by phone to potential and current applicants
Explaining the admissions process, the evaluation process, and standards of admission
Providing advice to constituents upon future coursework that would enable one to satisfy core requirements for entry

Required

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
1 - 3 Years of Related Professional Experience
In lieu of a bachelor's degree, applicants may qualify with four additional years of relevant experience, or with an associate's degree plus two additional years of relevant experience
