Director/ExecutiveJefferson Health is seeking a collaborative and engaging academic physician leader to serve as the next Chair of the Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Biology. The Chair will oversee all departmental programs, ensuring outstanding education, clinical training, and research opportunities while advancing the strategic goals of the University’s health system partner.

Responsibilities
Oversee all departmental programs, including an ACGME-accredited Dermatology residency and Dermatopathology fellowship
Ensure outstanding education, clinical training, and research opportunities for the Department’s residents and fellows, as well as students at the Medical College
Oversee a growing academic practice and ensure exceptional care is provided at the Department’s 3 outpatient offices and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital
Play a key strategic role in 'driving systemness' for the University’s health system partner
Pursue strategic opportunities to effectively scale the value proposition of a growing system, while ensuring the delivery of high-quality care
Qualification
Required
An academic career trajectory with increasing levels of administrative responsibilities, ideally culminating in serving as Chair, Vice Chair, Chief or other senior leadership role for a Department of Dermatology
A demonstrated ability to advance tripartite clinical, education, and research missions – including a strong record of teaching and program administration; leading care quality improvement initiatives; supporting the growth, development, mentorship, and well-being of faculty, clinicians, and trainees; and facilitating research with a working understanding of the supporting infrastructure and nuances of clinical research
Experience with the operational and financial management aspects of administering a department, including prior responsibilities for budget management, strategic planning, and resource management
A record of scholarship and academic accomplishments which merits appointment at the rank of associate or full professor at Sidney Kimmel Medical College
An MD/DO or equivalent international degree, current board certification in Dermatology, and licensed or eligible to practice in the state of Pennsylvania
