Responsibilities
Execute transportation design plans, studies, and analyses through project software
Horizontal and vertical geometric design
Stormwater/erosion prevention and sediment control/traffic control design
Directing and training junior staff
Support project managers in meeting project goals and providing quality deliverables
Additional related duties as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
4-6+ years of engineering experience with recent experience in transportation design preferred
Tennessee PE license or EI Registration
Understanding of roadway design guidance from AASHTO
Knowledge of TDOT guidelines, procedures, and plan preparation
Experience in development of roadway plans and specifications along with local municipalities and permitting agencies
Experience with MicroStation, Geopak, OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication and attention to detail
