Responsibilities
Develop and execute a multi-year global roadmap for tax process optimization, aligned with best practices and business strategy
Champion scalable, standardized processes supporting growth, complexity, and global consistency
Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of tax technology solutions
Oversee deployment of platforms for tax calculations, reporting, and documentation, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems
Pilot and scale automation initiatives to replace manual tasks and drive productivity
Design and implement scalable tax processes to reduce manual work, mitigate risk, and improve reporting quality and speed
Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, and tracking mechanisms for transformation projects
Partner with IT, Data Analytics, Finance Systems, and regional Tax teams to implement unified systems and tools
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior and executive leadership, communicating program progress, risks, and opportunities
Lead change management efforts for successful adoption of new tools and processes
Develop training programs and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration
Qualification
Required
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
10+ years of progressive experience in Tax, Finance, or related fields, with a focus on process optimization and technology transformation
Proven track record in leading global tax technology projects, including ERP implementations, automation, and data analytics
Deep understanding of tax compliance, reporting, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
Strong project leadership, change management, and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience with scalable process design, governance frameworks, and KPI development
Collaborative mindset with the ability to drive initiatives across multiple teams and regions
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, Information Systems, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred
Strategic thinker able to translate transformation goals into executable projects
Influential leader who inspires others to embrace new ways of working
Excellent communication, business writing, and presentation skills
High personal accountability, ethical standards, and ability to influence without direct authority
