Responsibilities
Advise clients on U.S. and international trademark matters, including prosecution, portfolio management, and brand enforcement
Draft, file, and prosecute U.S. and international trademark applications, office action responses, and renewals
Handle TTAB proceedings and support trademark-related litigation
Conduct trademark clearance searches, domain name registrations, and UDRP proceedings
Collaborate with internal teams and foreign associates on cross-border matters
Contribute to efficiency and process improvements within the IP group
Qualification
Required
JD from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in Michigan (or DC) and the USPTO
5–10 years of relevant experience in trademark law
Proven ability to generate and maintain client relationships, with a portable book of business of $300K+
Strong legal writing, oral communication, and project management skills
Able to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a collaborative environment
