10+ years expPS TEC is looking for experienced independent contractors to provide technical services for stretch blow molding equipment. The role involves installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and overhauls, requiring a strong background in stretch blow molding technology and hands-on experience with various platforms.

Responsibilities
Provide technical services such as installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and overhauls of stretch blow molding equipment
Lead and execute complete machine overhauls and rebuilds on SBM platforms
Provide on-site support and training for mold changeovers and operational best practices
Perform detailed mechanical diagnostics and reporting
Generate parts lists, cost estimates, and labor timelines for service scopes
Hands-on support for troubleshooting and repair of pneumatic, hydraulic, and light electrical systems
Coordinate with vendors for OEM and aftermarket parts to support long-term reliability improvements
Provide directive and support for preventative and predictive maintenance programs
Deliver onsite training and support for SBM systems and maintenance teams
Lead or assist in major overhauls, rebuilds, and preventive maintenance with in-plant teams
Develop technical documentation, training materials, and best-practice work instructions
Qualification
Required
Minimum 10 years of experience in stretch blow molding equipment (Sidel, Krones, KHS, Sipa)
Proven experience processing PET containers in high-speed production environments
Expert-level understanding of stretch blow molding technology, including mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems
Advanced troubleshooting skills in processing controls, pneumatics, mechanical drives, servo systems, and light automation/electrical
Capable of leading and executing complete machine overhauls and rebuilds on SBM platforms
Familiarity with material handling equipment such as blenders, dryers, and color dosing systems
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Able to provide on-site support and training for mold changeovers and operational best practices
Proficient with laptops, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and PDF documentation
Must be capable of performing detailed mechanical diagnostics and reporting
Able to generate parts lists, cost estimates, and labor timelines for service scopes
Hands-on support for troubleshooting and repair of pneumatic, hydraulic, and light electrical systems
Coordinate with vendors for OEM and aftermarket parts to support long-term reliability improvements
Provide directive and support for preventative and predictive maintenance programs
Deliver onsite training and support for SBM systems and maintenance teams
Available for after-hours troubleshooting and support as needed
Lead or assist in major overhauls, rebuilds, and preventive maintenance with in-plant teams
Develop technical documentation, training materials, and best-practice work instructions
High school diploma required
Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience with stretch blow molding and PET processing
Strong working knowledge of PET container forming, preform handling, and thermal/process parameters in SBM applications
Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
Must provide own tools necessary to perform field service duties (hand tools, air tools, basic electrical test tools, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics
Proficient in troubleshooting 12V–480V (AC/DC) systems
Deep knowledge of the operational theory of stretch blow molding machines and PET processing systems
Strong mechanical aptitude and situational judgment under pressure
Proficient with computers and software for documentation and maintenance tracking
Must be willing to travel 75% of the time
Must be willing to transition to independent contractor status if currently employed
Valid Driver's License is mandatory
Preferred
Trade certification in a mechanical field
