The VISTA will manage communication and volunteer programs to enhance engagement and support career development initiatives for students.

Develop and manage strategic communication and volunteer programs by creating a social media and newsletter strategy
Producing content that highlights organizational impact
Training staff on messaging
Design, implement, and evaluate corporate and individual volunteer programs
Recruitment, orientation, scheduling, and tracking systems
Document processes and outcomes to ensure sustainable systems for future staff and volunteers
Strengthen YouthBuild Boston’s organizational capacity by designing and implementing sustainable systems to enhance volunteer engagement, communications, and career development programs
Developing a comprehensive social media and newsletter strategy to showcase program impact
Creating recruitment materials
Establishing long-term processes for volunteer coordination and engagement
Support career readiness by developing tools and curricula
Coordinating mentorship and professional development opportunities
Fostering partnerships with local employers, trade unions, and educational institutions
Document all processes, create toolkits, and train staff to ensure sustainability beyond the VISTA term
Ultimately increasing organizational reach, volunteer participation, and student success outcomes
