Paralegal
Adams Group is a fifth-generation family-owned company providing global solutions to the food industry. The Paralegal will manage routine legal and compliance matters in-house, supporting corporate leadership and shareholders on various legal issues while streamlining workflows to reduce reliance on external counsel.
Responsibilities
Maintain compliance with state and federal filing requirements
Manage corporate entity records, minute books, and ownership documentation across multiple entities (domestic and international)
Coordinate execution and recordkeeping of board resolutions, written consents, and other governance actions
Conduct legal and regulatory research for the operating company and shareholder’s affiliated entities
Draft, review, and edit standard agreements such as supply chain contracts, broker agreements, MSAs
Research regulatory, corporate, and compliance matters for cross-functional teams as needed
Liaise with external general counsel, auditors, and other professional advisors to efficiently facilitate legal support
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree and at least one year of law-related experience under a qualified attorney; or
Certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program
Familiarity with contract, real estate (lease agreements), intellectual property, tax, and/or corporate law
Strong understanding of corporate governance and entity management
Ability to interpret and summarize complex legal language into actionable guidance
Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive information
Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable managing multiple priorities across diverse teams
Preferred
Notary license
Background in agribusiness or family business
