Responsibilities

Provide engineering support for projects involving erosion and sediment control, and stormwater management
Works with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer/designer
Drafting, computer modeling, data entry, assistance with preparation of construction plans and specifications, quality control review of client construction storm water documentation
Assist in the preparation of design concept plans, permit packages, work plans, tables, figures, hydraulic calculations, erosion and sediment control plans, and associated post-construction stormwater management plans, and present information for quality review
Assist in basic interpretation and verifying compliance with applicable regulations, codes and engineering standards and practices
Complete other engineering/administrative duties as required

Qualification

Required

Currently pursuing or graduated with a minimum of a four-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Understanding of water and environmental related principles and engineering concepts, including related hydraulics and hydrologic (H&H) principles and concepts
The ability to effectively communicate ideas and opinions
Be proficient in interpreting sketches, drawings, and other similar material
Be conscientious, detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and disciplined
Build and maintain productive professional and personal networking relationships within your technical team
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Valid driver's license

Preferred

Preference towards students pursuing emphasis areas of Environmental, Agricultural, or Civil Engineering with a focus on ecological engineering and/or geomorphology
Relevant office or field experience is a plus. Examples: Construction Surveying, Field Surveying, Field Sampling, Drafting
Experience using HEC-RAS, and AutoCAD a plus
