Alan B. Miller Medical Center is a new state-of-the-art hospital set to open in Spring 2026, joining UHS’ growing regional network of healthcare operations. The Biomedical Equipment Technician II will perform evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on medical devices, ensuring a safe and compliant environment for patient care.

Responsibilities
Performs evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients at the facility, affiliates, and other institutions that have relationships either owned or contractual
Focuses his or her performance to ensure that all patients receive the safest and best possible experience while at the facilities serviced by the UHS HTM Program
Works independently with minimal supervision
Delivers exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, nurses, technicians, administrators and all persons who are contacted during the course of their service
Delivers service that meets and exceeds all regulatory requirements and compliance for the position held
Assists UHS HTM leadership with developing and strengthening facility and vendor relationships
Responsible for executing and meeting all requirements of the established key performance indicators (KPI’s)
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 2 years Technical School/Associate Degree
Experience with healthcare technology management programs
Must possess skill-set of advanced modality HTM expertise such as clinical laboratory, medical imaging, radiation/oncology or high-end biomedical devices such as device integration/networking
Medical equipment knowledge (manufacturers, models, modalities, capital planning, etc.)
Understanding of regulatory requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC, State, Local)
Advanced/Strong computer skills (proficient with Microsoft products), experience with CMMS products
Strong planning and organization skills. Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills
Travel will be required periodically
Preferred
Professional Certification Preferred (CBET, CRES, CLES, CHTM, PMP, AWS-CSAA, CISSP, CAN, MLT, CRCST and other professional certifications as deemed pertinent by the hiring director)
