Employer Engagement Supervisor

Responsibilities

Lead the development and cultivation of partnerships with area employers in order to identify appropriate employment opportunities for clients
Partner with employers to develop workplace-based training opportunities for IRC clients, develop Master Agreements, Worksite Agreements and MoUs
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including trade groups, industry associations, labor unions, chambers of commerce, and local workforce boards
Supervise and coordinate office-wide provision of individual and group job readiness training and employment services for employment program participants
Develop and implement a strategy and workplan to educate employers on the merits of hiring refugees and immigrants and relevant right to work documentation
Monitor job performance, wage level, and employer/employee satisfaction
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual job placement and partnership development goals
Act as a liaison between the IRC, employers, clients, and community partners
Represent IRC Oakland at relevant job development opportunities such as job fairs, community event, job site tours, etc
Determine specific, appropriate employment opportunities and assist clients in accessing these opportunities by guiding them through the hiring process, customizing resumes and assisting clients with completing applications and new hire paperwork as well as any post placement issues
Ensure timely and accurate compliance on all reporting requirements, including database management, case noting, and file maintenance

Required

Bachelor's degree in relevant field required
1-2 years' experience with employment counseling, case management, or coaching required
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to make presentations
Travel to Fremont, Hayward, Concord and other locations for employer meetings and events (approximately 30%) required

Preferred

Master's degree preferred
4+ years' experience in the non-profit, recruiting, HR or social services sector preferred
Prior experience working with limited-English-proficient and low-income populations preferred
Fluency or professional proficiency in Spanish, Dari/Farsi or Ukrainian preferred
