Responsibilities
Oversee the on shore and offshore accounting team, including hiring, training, and evaluating their performance
Review team performance by monitoring KPIs and providing feedback to make sure everyone is hitting their goals
Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the accounting team to enhance their skills and knowledge
Assign responsibilities to the assigned staff and ensure timely and accurate completion of weekly and monthly tasks
Oversee the accounting for your assigned operating business units, making sure all the journal entries and financial reports are accurate and timely
Review balance sheet reconciliations through Blackline, ensuring reconciling items are resolved on a timely basis
Review the variance analysis reports and flagging and correcting any issues early on
Conduct second-level reviews of weekly and monthly tasks in Blackline, ensuring those are performed on time and without errors
Keep the direct manager in the loop with updates on projects, issues, and regular tasks
Take on more complex accounting projects, working with other stakeholders across the company
Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and insights
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting department
Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging technologies in accounting
Foster a positive team culture where everyone feels respected, valued, and heard
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA certified—you've got the certification to back up your experience
4-5 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years of public accounting
You're great at leading teams, identifying development needs, and mentoring your team members
Excellent communication skills—you can work easily with the operational units and other stakeholders across the company
Analytical skills to solve problems and get to the bottom of complex accounting issues
Detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and keep everything moving in a fast-paced setting
Adaptable and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
