Logistics Intern
Legrand, North America is seeking a motivated Logistics Intern to join their Data Center Power and Control Division in Canonsburg, PA. The intern will assist in driving process improvements in shipping and logistics operations while gaining hands-on experience in workflow optimization and collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities
Analyze current shipping workflows to identify value-added activities and recommend improvements
Assist with Lean and 5S initiatives in the shipping area, including organizing workstations, labeling, and visual management
Support logistics process improvement projects aimed at streamlining material flow and reducing waste
Collect and analyze data to measure process efficiency and present findings to leadership
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement standardized work practices and improve shipping accuracy
Participate in continuous improvement meetings and share progress on assigned projects
Assist with daily shipping activities as needed (documentation, labeling, carrier coordination) to gain a practical understanding of operations
Prepare reports and dashboards summarizing improvement initiatives and key performance metrics
Create and report on internship experience during the end-of-summer intern presentations
Perform other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with Lean principles and 5S methodology
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Curiosity and eagerness to jump in and learn
Willingness to wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas, where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection
Regularly required to stand, walk, and communicate with others
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
