The Cook & Boardman Group is the nation’s leading provider of architectural doors and security integration services. They are seeking a detail-oriented AV CAD Designer to create detailed AutoCAD drawings for AV system designs and collaborate with engineering and project management teams.

Responsibilities

Create detailed AV system drawings including floor plans, rack elevations, signal flow diagrams, and schematics

Interpret project requirements, site surveys, and specifications to develop accurate CAD documentation

Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure designs align with scope and client needs

Update drawings throughout the project lifecycle to reflect changes or field conditions

Maintain drawing standards and file management practices

Support submittal packages and as-built documentation

Required

2+ years of experience in CAD drafting within the AV

Proficiency with AutoCAD required; Revit and Bluebeam experience a plus

Understanding of AV systems including displays, audio systems, control systems, and infrastructure

Ability to read construction drawings and architectural plans

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks

Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Preferred

Knowledge of AVIXA standards and best practices

Experience working with engineering teams or integrators

CTS certification or similar is a plus
