Responsibilities
Develops custom air handler solutions by reviewing detailed job specifications, selecting components, generating mechanical drawings, and create bills of material
Support production processes in order to eliminate any questions, concerns, and/or roadblocks during manufacture
Supports new product development with conceptual designs, layouts, and bill of materials as needed
Supports continuous improvement and cost reduction activities through improved product design / design for manufacturing (DFM)
Assists with production and/or customer testing of completed systems
Commercializes new control solutions such as sensors, actuators, VFDs, and networking
Provides Mechanical Engineering expertise and/or support to other departments as needed
Qualification
Required
Minimum B.S. In Mechanical Engineering or B.S.E.T in Mechanical Engineering Technology
Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer
Experience with selection of components used in HVAC applications using computer programs
Ability to work on large scale projects and provide comprehensive documentation
Effective communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to successfully plan work to meet schedule deadlines
Demonstrated problem solver & team player
Ability to work with outside vendors/engineers to implement solutions
Ability to generate drawings with AutoCAD or similar programs
Knowledge of safety standards
Preferred
Practical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems preferred; but not required
Previous experience with product testing, troubleshooting, and HVAC control strategies
