Responsibilities

Drive profitable growth by utilizing strategic marketing efforts, product/program enhancements, and contacting new leads via phone and email
Actively pursue and pre-qualify new business leads in the form of individuals, firms, and diversified group business opportunities (professional associations, companies, and relevant industry organizations)
Build and maintain strong relationships with affinity clients, acting as their trusted advisor for all insurance and risk management needs
Develop and strengthen brand awareness
Employ a targeted distribution strategy, sourcing individual clients, firms, and larger group prospects within the industry
Grow and nurture relationships with carriers to build knowledge of product solutions relative to client needs and evolving industry landscape, negotiate the best coverage and pricing solutions. Propose recommendations for coverage improvements to continue program growth and retention
Attend and exhibit at industry conferences and events with an eye towards lead-generation and relationship building
Actively handle new business pipeline within CRM systems. Keeping track of all stages of the sales process from lead to opportunity to getting the client bound
Collaborating with sales leaders and administrative support teams in developing quote letters and proposals
Proactively remain informed on industry and market trends, build and maintain a deep knowledge-base on core coverage lines, customer-relevant insurance products and niche markets
Work closely with internal teams, including underwriting, customer service/operations, IT/technology, claims, and marketing, to deliver seamless service and innovative solutions
Ensure all client programs comply with regulatory requirements and Gallagher’s standards of excellence

Required

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in insurance brokerage, risk/program management, or a related field
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline
Valid Property & Casualty Insurance license
Ability to travel up ~10% to attend meetings, conferences, and events
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines
Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving, attention to detail, and innovation
Proficiency in insurance software and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

Experience with business development, professional liability insurance, and cyber liability insurance
Understanding of affinity program structure
