Responsibilities

Serve patients through biomedical equipment support and technical assistance for clinical associates in a professional, timely and cost effective manner
Utilize a high level of specialized technical ability in problem solving, use of test equipment and service documentation to maintain a wide variety of equipment types used for patient diagnostics and treatment, clinical laboratory, radiology, surgery and other medical and support departments

Required

Associate of Applied Sciences Degree, or certificate of equivalent Military/Technical education, in Biomedical Engineering/Equipment Technology or Associates of Applied Sciences Degree, equivalent Military/Technical education, in Electronics Engineering/Equipment Technology
Biomedical Engineering/Equipment Technology internship or equivalent internship experience
Ability to work independently and as team member with other staff with minimal supervision and under high stress situations
Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as verified through appropriate licensing agency
Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to MCHS's insurer
Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid

Preferred

Associate of Applied Sciences Degree, or certificate of equivalent Military/Technical education, in Biomedical Engineering/Equipment Technology
AAMI Credentials Institute (AMI), Certified Biomedical Electronics Technician (CBET), Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES), or Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES) certification
