Responsibilities
Coordination of a multidisciplinary project team of designers across multiple offices
Assistance with forecasting and monitoring of budgeted hours
Monitoring and enforcement of project drafting standards
Development of mechanical layouts in 2D and 3D environments
Preparation of drawings according to project design criteria
Application of project defined regulations, codes, and standards
Facilitation of project model reviews, and follow up of action items (tags)
Compliance with all Ausenco corporate policies and procedures by adopting Ausenco Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements
Qualification
Required
A Diploma in Mechanical engineering Technician's diploma or equivalent Drafting Technology from a recognized college is essential to kickstart your career with us
8-15 years' experience in the Layout of Mineral Processing Plants in a multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment
Working knowledge of HEXAGON SmartPlant preferred or similar (AutoCad / AutoPLANT (3D), Microstation)
Gold and Copper commodities experience
Understanding of industry regulatory codes and standards
Well-developed written and oral skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of multi-functional project teams
Willingness to travel when required to the clients job site for reviews and to gather field or system data
Preferred
Experience in construction or contract administration would be a great asset to our team
Experience in structural and architectural design would be a fantastic addition to your skill set
Experience with Smartplant, Industrial projects, and core mechanical design (such as chutes and plate work) would be considered an asset
