Responsibilities

Aim to create definitive opinion coverage in your area

Ensure that the writers you are working with are constantly engaged and working in a range of different editorial forms

Develop ideas, shape writing and publish the sharpest possible views

Coordinate with the wider department to ensure every article is published for maximum effectiveness

Be on constant lookout for new writers, fresh subjects and innovations in publishing

Participate in editorial board meetings and contribute occasionally with unsigned editorials

Occasionally appear on podcasts, social video and other multimedia offerings

Qualification

Required

5+ years of experience in journalism, media or communications

Experience managing writers and editors

Experience developing new editorial forms and publishing techniques

Experience with digital media

Strong persuasive writing skills
