Responsibilities

Ensure all medical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner

Repair, maintain and calibrate medical imaging devices, in a hospital or healthcare setting

Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices

Maintain accurate records of repairs, calibration, and tests

Required

1+ years of imaging experience (preferably radio frequency, X-ray portables, C-Arms, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, etc.) or a senior biomedical equipment technician with over 3 years of experience willing to receive training in the imaging space

Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting required

Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices and the ability to complete preventative & corrective maintenance on medical devices

Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills

Ability to participate in on-call rotation schedule as required

Minimum Education Requirement - Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronics, biomedical engineering, or other technical discipline contributing to proficiency of maintenance and repair of imaging equipment within a healthcare environment

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of experience within a healthcare setting with direct responsibility for the maintenance and repair of clinical devices and/or 1 year of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment and/or entry level of formalized training and/or equivalent military training

Preferred

Specific experience with the following medical devices or equipment: Siemens or GE Ultrasound, X-Ray portables, C-Arms and general X-Ray experience is preferred, but not required and will train
