Responsibilities
Assist in the installation, testing, calibration, repair, and maintenance of various types of flow meters, regulator settings, telemetering systems, electronic flow computers, odorant systems, and relief valves
Support measurement, sampling, and regulation operations and maintenance at our facilities
Help calibrate and maintain test instrumentation and auxiliary equipment
Interact effectively with measurement personnel and adhere to corporate measurement procedures
Assist in the preparation of reports, including job orders, completion reports, meter and regulator installation/removal, equipment and operational tests, repairs, maintenance, DOT compliance reports, sample reports, and batch tickets
Witness meter calibrations as per contractual obligations
Respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions to prevent injury to self and others
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a certificate or degree program in a related field
Basic understanding of measurement and regulation equipment
Ability to use, maintain, and repair tools and equipment used to regulate the flow of gas
Proficiency in basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Effective communication skills for exchanging written and verbal information and instructions
Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders and operate on elevated work surfaces
Capability to work in confined areas and react immediately to emergency situations
Willingness to travel over uneven terrain, including mud, gravel, sand, rocks, ice, and/or snow
Ability to take initiative, demonstrate a positive attitude with an eagerness to learn, and be adaptable
Ability to apply basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division and/or advanced math, algebra, and/or statistical methods
Ability to communicate, exchange written and verbal information and/or instructions
Ability to contribute critical thinking skills, work well in teams, have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
Training and/or experience in meter testing and installation, regulating flow and pressure, and servicing/repairing measuring station equipment is a plus
