Laser Production Technician (Starlink)
SpaceX is actively developing technologies to enable human life on Mars and is seeking talented technicians for the Starlink satellite constellation project. The Laser Production Technician will be responsible for the production of Starlink satellites, focusing on building electrical sub-assemblies and performing optic assembly processes in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
Build small electrical sub-assemblies by following work instructions precisely to ensure compliance with quality standards
Perform optic assembly processes, including epoxy application, UV curing, and oven curing
Fiber optic splicing and fiber routing
Operate complex automated equipment, including maintenance and some troubleshooting with Engineering guidance
Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated, track calibration schedules
Work effectively in a clean room environment, strictly adhering to all cleanliness protocols
Perform test setups as needed to support developments across several test regimes
Manage schedule priorities and independently executing work to meet company deliverables
Qualification
Required
High school degree or equivalency certificate
1+ years of hands on work experience
Willing to work all shifts, overtime and weekends as needed
Standing for long periods of time, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
Able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted
Preferred
2+ years of experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing company, a precision manufacturing company, or high-volume manufacturing company
Ability to read, interpret, and work from layout drawings, mechanical drawings, assembly procedures, schematics, engineering drawings, and parts lists
Able to proficiently use a PC, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office suite
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience setting up and running tests and experiments
Associate degree
