Capex Project Manager - Torrance
PolyPeptide Group is looking for a Capex Project Manager to lead high-impact facility and equipment projects that keep their GMP manufacturing site running safely, reliably, and efficiently. The role involves managing capital projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and collaborating with various teams to support manufacturing and quality assurance.

Responsibilities
Lead capital projects, equipment installations, utility upgrades, and infrastructure improvements
Ensure all engineering work meets cGMP, safety, and environmental standards
Troubleshoot equipment and facility issues in support of Manufacturing and Quality teams
Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, and manage vendors
Prepare engineering documentation (specs, drawings, change controls, C&Q protocols)
Support audits, validation activities, and equipment lifecycle management
Identify opportunities for performance, safety, and energy-efficiency improvements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
3–7 years of engineering experience in pharma, biotech, or other regulated manufacturing
Experience with utilities (HVAC, water, gases), process equipment, and capital project execution
Knowledge of cGMP and equipment qualification
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
