Manager, Cloud Engineering (Remote)

Responsibilities
Lead the engineering of enterprise cloud platform services aligned with architectural roadmaps
Develop and execute short- and long-term strategies for cloud products and services
Translate complex technical concepts into business-relevant language for senior leadership
Serve as a thought leader and global advocate for DevSecOps and cloud-native practices
Oversee automated infrastructure and software deployments across environments
Drive implementation of developer portals for self-service and guided service models
Lead cloud-native operations including key management, controlled deployments, and business continuity planning
Manage large-scale, high-compute data ecosystems and modern IaaS/PaaS deployments
Reuse and optimize cloud solutions with a focus on cost efficiency and well-architected principles
Lead the design of scalable cloud frameworks that enable future innovation and empower customer self-service
Lead re-architecture of applications for cloud platforms and implement cloud design patterns
Enable AI/ML and big data capabilities in cloud environments
Direct advanced service teams and third-party operations to deliver innovative cloud solutions
Foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture through coaching, mentoring, and development
Ensure teams are appropriately staffed and aligned with business goals and competencies
Set financial, operational, and quality objectives; manage departmental budgets and operational plans
Develop and lead the use of metrics and scorecards to promote cloud development best practices
Contribute to strategic global systems configuration and disciplined deployment processes
Collaborate across departments to share knowledge and improve processes
Act as a key influencer in technical decisions with long-term business impact
Engage with senior management, peers, and external partners to align cloud initiatives with enterprise goals
Lead teams with empathy, ensuring customer needs are central to product design and delivery
Promote operational excellence and agile delivery to realize business outcomes quickly
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience leading Software Engineering and/or Architecture Experience in Managing OS or Application service teams
2+ years of experience contributing to financial business decisions in the workplace
3+ years of direct leadership, indirect leadership, and/or cross functional team leadership
5+ years of experience with public cloud architecture, Cloud strategy, networking, security, compliance workload types, migration patterns and tools
5+ years of experience with various enterprise applications and IT services, as well as software development, compliance and security, and IT operations disciplines
5+ years managing operations of large-scale internet-centric Data environments for application or data services serving tens of thousands of end users
3+ years of experience re-architecting applications for cloud platforms
3+ years of experience implementing cloud best practices and cost optimization strategies
2+ years of exposure to AI/ML technologies and ability to enable big data in the cloud
Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)
