Accounting Clerk - PT

Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness
Verify invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Prepare and post journal entries, assist with general ledger account reconciliations, and support month-end closing processes
Maintain organized records and filing systems for financial documents
Monitor vendor statements and respond to inquiries regarding payments and account balances
Assist with credit card reconciliations, petty cash audits, and daily revenue reporting
Collaborate with department leaders to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely financial reporting
Support the Accounting team with audits, inventory tracking, and special projects as needed
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information
Uphold all internal controls and follow company financial protocols

Required

A detail-oriented professional with a strong sense of accuracy and accountability
Organized and efficient with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
A collaborative communicator who works well with multiple departments and vendors
Discreet and trustworthy with confidential information
Flexible and dependable, especially during busy periods and month-end closings
Open to learning and growing within the accounting or finance field

Preferred

Experienced in basic accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a hospitality or service environment
Familiar with accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with hotel property management systems is a plus
