Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic radiology procedures under the supervision of a licensed X-Ray Technologist, the X-Ray Supervisor, Manager/Director of Imaging Services and Radiologist
Responsible for performing radiographic imaging procedures while obtaining optimal image quality
Provide personalized care, recognizing the worth and dignity of each patient
Ensure compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from neonate to geriatric
Perform all duties and responsibilities consistent with Mercy’s mission, vision and values
Qualification
Required
High school graduate or equivalent
Currently enrolled in a nationally accredited School of Radiologic Technology
Current BLS certification
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
Basic computer knowledge
Capable of manipulating X-ray equipment including mobile and other equipment
Capable of carrying cassettes
Capable of selecting and manipulating exposure factors
Capable of evaluating radiographs
Capable of lifting, moving and transporting patients
Capable of continual standing and walking
Capable of recognizing emergency situations
Capable of adapting to fast pace daily workload
Capable of communicating effectively
