This role involves program leadership, financial control, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to enhance neurology care and meet regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide program leadership, management, strategic direction, and financial control of the Stroke Program

Act as an active member of the Performance Improvement and Peer Review Committee

Lead the neurology care with participation and development of the stroke prevention/early response program

Collect, keep, and report the Stroke Registry

Meet all HIPAA regulatory requirements in data submission to appropriate entities

Prepare reports for committee meetings related to strokes

Assist and interface with the ED, physicians, and other members of the multidisciplinary team

Required

Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)

Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements

BLS certification

Skills in program management related to data, operations, presentations, and budgeting

Skills in public relations and development of professional relationships with EMS, Media, Referral hospitals, etc

Is proficient in the use of State Data Dictionary and the Registry Software

Computer Skills with basic Microsoft Office programs

Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis

Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift

Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Neurology Experience, Minimum 2 years acute care experience
