Responsibilities
Research municipal codes, zoning ordinances, and signage regulations for projects across the U.S
Prepare and submit sign permit applications, including supporting documentation and drawings
Track permit statuses, follow up with cities, and assist in coordinating revisions or resubmittals
Communicate professionally with permitting offices, landlords, and internal stakeholders
Maintain accurate records of submissions, approvals, and correspondence
Support the permitting team with administrative tasks and data entry
Collaborate with designers and project managers to ensure accurate and complete submittals
Learn permitting strategies and best practices with the goal of advancing within the department
Qualification
Required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to read and understand municipal code language and technical documentation
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
Comfortable communicating with city and planning officials
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Team player with a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn
1–3 years of experience in sign permitting, construction permitting, or project coordination
Preferred
Familiarity with local government or municipal processes preferred
Experience working with signage, architecture, engineering, or construction documentation is a plus
Experience with CRM or project management tools is a plus
