Responsibilities
Review and prepare tax returns for Individuals, S and C Corporations, and other entities
Review and prepare amended returns
Prepare and review Quarterly and Annual Payroll tax returns
Prepare Tax Projections
Prepare and review financial statements
Handle routine client questions and work with clients to obtain necessary information for financial statements and tax return completion
Prepare accurate workpapers
Conduct tax research for unusual situations
Prepare journal entries for year-end close, including bank reconciliation(s)
Analyze current and prior year General Ledgers
Communicate with clients and team as needed
Utilize QuickBooks
Qualification
Required
3+ years of current tax preparation experience of Individuals, S and C Corporations, and other entities
CPA or EA designation; earned or in-progress
Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and budgets; willingness and ability to work extra hours if necessary during tax season
Energized professional - seeking greater responsibilities and autonomy with clients
Have the passion and curiosity to look through the financials into the business, to identify potential opportunities for clients
Engaging and thrive on building relationships internally and externally
Client first mentality
Positive, team-oriented mindset
Open to in-office or hybrid candidates in Jacksonville or the surrounding area
Preferred
UltraTax and SurePrep experience or knowledge
