Responsibilities

Performs In-Place Density Tests using nuclear density gauge, drive sleeve, or sand cone method
Aggregate Sampling. Concrete/Grout/Masonry sampling (including: air content; slump testing; visual observations; casting samples of concrete cylinders, mortar cubes, and grout prisms; and obtaining core samples)
Also may perform asphalt sampling, backscatter tests, and coring

Qualification

VDOT Soils CertificationNICET Level II CertificationBasic Math SkillsWriting SkillsTeam PlayerWork Ethic

Required

Will train employees without work experience; but prefer that candidates have at least some construction-related work history
Qualified candidates should have basic math and writing skills
Strong work ethics
Ability to work as a team player
Offer is contingent on background report
VDOT Soils and Aggregate Compaction or a NICET Construction Materials Testing Level II certification
