Junior Associate Attorney
The Glowacki Firm is an expanding trust and probate firm focusing on litigation and mediation. They are seeking a Junior Associate Attorney to handle complex litigation matters, work closely with senior staff, and provide innovative legal solutions tailored to clients' needs.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Managing Shareholder and Senior Associates to craft innovative, practical, and effective legal solutions tailored to the unique circumstances and needs of each particular client
Handle complex litigation matters from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, conducting depositions, representing clients in court proceedings, arguing motions, and communicating with other parties' counsel
Prepare for and participate in mediations, including strategy for and analysis of settlement proposals
Assist in trial preparation, including conducting thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies, and attend trial with lead counsel
Manage client communications, seeking feedback as necessary, to ensure clarity, responsiveness, and strategic alignment at every stage of a matter
Perform other duties assigned
Qualification
Required
a J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
a license to practice law in the State of California
1+ year of experience
hands-on experience reviewing and drafting pleadings, law and motion, and discovery
hands-on experience reviewing and analyzing evidence
experience with the California Code of Civil Procedure and Evidence Code
detail-oriented research, writing, and advocacy skills
motivation, ambition, and a strong work ethic
effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex cases concurrently
ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, with a demonstrated history of meeting billable hour requirements
proven ability to foster strong relationships with potential clients while maintaining excellent services for existing clients
actively engaged in the legal community, including service to local organizations
Preferred
experience with the California Probate Code
mediation experience
trial experience
working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Westlaw, and Zoom
