Responsibilities
Responsible for coordinating and maintaining liaison with military, federal, and local agencies concerning airspace utilization, flying operations, aircraft emergencies, search and rescue operations ,and natural disasters
This full- performance level position provides direct support to unit and other military and civilian aircrews during scheduled and unscheduled flying and ground activities
The incumbent works independently on standard and extended and/or rotating shifts to provide aircrews with information and assistance necessary for planning and conducting safe flight operations

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED
This is an INDEFINITE excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform
Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory
Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade/rank listed in this announcement
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement
This is a Title 32 excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have the experience that demonstrates the knowledge of the transportation functions for this position
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 12 months of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-07)
Experience, education, or training in mission planning for preflight, in-flight, ground or command and control (C2) duties according to specific transportation functions
Receives, interprets, extracts, and disseminates relevant data for mission planning or execution
Experience coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems
