Vice President of eCommerce

Responsibilities

Lead the long-term vision for HOMAGE’s digital customer experience and translate that vision into actionable roadmaps and measurable outcomes
Own the eCommerce P&L, including revenue, margin, and customer acquisition efficiency. Partner with finance to forecast performance and optimize channel profitability
Create and execute UX redesign and product roadmap
Improve site conversion rate and AOV by prioritizing key opportunities, implementing experiments to demonstrate results, and building winning solutions into the site
Supervise all 3rd party agency and application relationships
Oversee the eCommerce team in performing all day-to-day site merchandising and operations
Collaborate with key stakeholders across Brand, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure the eCommerce site serves as a seamless intersection of audience engagement, delivering both a best-in-class shopping experience and an authentic Brand representation
Regularly prepare and present monthly analytics reports, deep diving into key web metrics such as sessions, conversion rate, average order value, and other relevant KPIs to inform strategy and demonstrate performance
Lead testing and personalization initiatives. Establishing a culture of experimentation, segmentation, and performance-based decision making
Partner cross-functionally with the marketing team to drive retention strategies across email, SMS, loyalty, and post-purchase journeys
Inspire and mentor a high-performing team, fostering collaboration between cross-functional teams
Review patterning from world-class sites, as well as break the mold ideas
Lead discussions with the leadership team to prioritize opportunities and set long-term goals for the eCommerce team
Envision opportunities to bring digital storytelling to the forefront of our experience, highlight unique products, and facilitate a seamless purchasing experience
Obsess over the customer journey, mapping out the path customers take from start to finish, and identifying areas that could be made more fluid or intuitive
Optimize the process customers use to discover products
Maximize all UX and brand design enhancement opportunities
Identify technology and apps to be used to improve the web experience and site speed
Demonstrate deep expertise in the Shopify Plus ecosystem, including custom app development, headless integrations, checkout extensibility, and partner tools (Klaviyo, Okendo, Attentive, Rebuy, Gorgias, Loop). Lead replatforming, theme architecture, and performance optimization within Shopify
Collaborate with peers in Marketing & Product to understand upcoming activations, and use that knowledge to identify features to support those activations
Boil all priorities into annual and quarterly roadmaps
Involve eCommerce team and agency advisors to align on priorities and timelines
Develop and run an efficient and impactful development sprint process with agency partners, and internal developers in the future
Identify and prioritize opportunities that increase conversion rate and/or basket size
Inform recommendations with website analytics and customer feedback
Build and execute a roadmap of changes, integrated with broader product roadmap
Set goals and report progress and performance against goals to the leadership team
Partner with marketing to enhance customer retention, loyalty, and repeat purchase behavior
Implement a culture of testing and personalization, such as leading A/B testing programs, site search optimization, and customer segmentation strategies leveraging analytics, heatmaps, and behavioral data
Establish a culture of data-driven experimentation and insight-sharing across eCommerce, Brand, and Marketing functions
Provide guidance and feedback to the Web Operations team, who complete product launches and day-to-day web merchandising
Thoughtfully expand internal team, including UX and development talent
Manage the digital ecosystem and negotiate contracts with vendors & third-party solution
Coach and complete annual performance reviews for direct reports
Ensure digital compliance and governance around accessibility (ADA/WCAG), data privacy (GDPR/CCPA), and platform security
Foster collaboration and accountability within the team, ensuring priorities are aligned with broader business objectives and executed on time

Required

10+ years in eCommerce
Demonstrated experience guiding UX and engineering resources
Deep experience with Shopify platform required. Including custom integrations, and associated partner tools
Advanced understanding of digital analytics, including tools like Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, or similar platforms, with the ability to translate insights into action
Expertise in quantitative and qualitative website analysis & research
Leadership to build teams, hold teams accountable, and meet deadlines
Thoughtful and self-reflective, willing to learn
Team-player, hard-working, organized, and goal-oriented
