Entry-Level Environmental Engineer - Networking Event with AECOM – Raleigh
AECOM is a global infrastructure consulting firm dedicated to delivering a better world. They are seeking an Entry-Level Environmental/Civil Engineer to support their Environmental Remediation practice, focusing on site investigation, remedial design, and construction at contaminated sites.

Responsibilities
Performs field work including site investigations (site inspections, soil, groundwater, surface-water, sediment, and air sampling), contractor oversight, observation of remediation system installation and operation, and field documentation
Supports construction administration including shop drawing and submittal review, RFI responses, and project scheduling and tracking
Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks
Prepare permitting and technical deliverables, including remedial action plans, construction completion reports, cost estimates, and constructability reviews
Works closely with the design team to prepare sampling plans, calculations, and construction design documents including specifications, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer
Uses engineering software (e.g., CAD, GIS, data analysis tools) to solve routine problems and generate design documents
Assists the Project Management team with management administration on a small to moderate size and scope project, or a portion of a larger, more complex project, following set guidelines for tasks
Attends meetings and reports on project tasks as needed
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision
Field work in locations as appropriate (approximately 60%)
Qualification
Required
BA/BS in Environmental or Civil Engineering
Valid US Driver's License is required for this position. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
Preferred
Experience related to environmental remediation
Experience in civil or environmental engineering
Experience in construction or field work
EIT, EI or ability to obtain prior to starting the position
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and Microsoft Project preferred
Demonstrated interest in environmental remediation
Knowledge of RCRA, CERCLA, and other applicable environmental regulations
